Cascade Natural Gas Corporation is in the process of replacing and updating service lines within our service territory. This is an ongoing program to ensure our customers safe and efficient natural gas service now and well into the future.
As a result of this construction, you may see some disruption of your normal traffic routes during the day. This construction activity will be kept as minimal as possible and will be cleaned up daily. Customers within the area of the replacement will be contacted regarding updating their lines and meters as the construction crew draws near. Crews have one service left to replace on NW 5th Street and six services to replace or tie over in the alley between NW Portland Avenue and NW Roanoke Avenue. The tie in of the two-inch main on NW Portland Ave and NW 5th Street will be completed on Monday. Crews will then move back into the alley between NW Ogden Avenue and NW Portland to continue on the installation of the main expecting to reach the tie in point by Friday, November 21st.
There will be minimal impact on traffic from the work remaining to complete on NW Galveston Avenue where crews bored under the Deschutes River.

Crews continue to reconnect service lines to the new main on NW 5th St. and a paving crewing is following behind working on restoration. There will continue to be traffic control in this area until the middle of next week.
Work also continues in the alley between NW Portland Avenue and NW Ogden Avenue. They are working westward and are expected to reach NW 7th Street by Monday, continuing on toward NW 9th Street.
The bore crew has completed the task of pulling the six-inch steel line under the Deschutes River. Crews are still in the area performing clean-up and removing equipment. Starting Monday, November 10th, the team will begin the testing of this line. This work is not expected to impact traffic in the area.
